2009 Long Beach Sprint Nationals : The 2009 Long Beach Sprint Nationals are now in the record books but the memories from last weekends event will last a lifetime. Great weather made for even greater racing with a capacity crowd of best supporters of circle boat racing on hand to see the 80+ teams that converged on Marine Stadium put it out there for bragging rights and the title of National Champion. Cabrillo Beach 3rd Annual Enduro 2009 : The Cabrillo beach 3rd Annual Enduro was held on August 1 at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro, CA. In sea breezes of 15-25 mph with water temperatures of 65° to 72° F and air temperatures of 70° to 85° F. This Event will consist of Figure 8 windsurfing racing, and a SUP race in the morning. If the wind does not reach the 15 mph minimum, as reported by iWindsurf.com, the race committee may elect to run course racing or other, so also bring your formula or alternative gear (ie a SUP) if you can. The SUP race will consist of a le Mans style paddle around the Cabrillo Beach Bell Buoy.

Lions Charity Downhill Race 2008 : 9th Annual Lions Club Charity Downhill Race and Legends Car Show 2008 at beautiful Point Fermin in sunny San Pedro, California. The race and car show are a day of fun for the entire family and there is no admission charge! It is a day of food, live music, beautiful classic and antique cars, and exciting racing with the wonderful Pacific Ocean and Catalina in the background. This year's live music will feature The Topics Band and Pretzel Logic. The event is made possible by the hard work of members of the Harbor City/Lomita Lions Club, the San Pedro Lions Club, the Wilmington Lions Club and the local community who form the Downhill Race Committee. The Classic and Antique Car Show is the result of the efforts of the Legends Car Club working with the Downhill Race Committee. The Lions Club Charity Downhill Race and Legends Car Show would not take place without the many sponsors whose generous donations allow the event to raise money for both local and Lions Club charities. Over the last nine years, the race and car show has raised tens of thousands of dollars for charity. 15th District Councilwoman Janice Hahn and the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks lend their full support to this event. Long Beach Sprint Nationals 2007 : The Southern California Speedboat Club's 2007 Long Beach Sprint Nationals "Race Against Hunger" presented by ARP & Suncoast Framing benefitting the Foothill Unity Center was another tremendous success in the annals of APBA power boat racing.
